  • Born on August 20, 1951

He was elected president in the first pluralistic, free and democratic elections in the history of Egypt

and was appointed as the country's president on June 30, 2012

  • The year of his rule witnessed constitutional and legal reforms, as Egypt produced the first constitution to be drawn up by the people.
  • He also released freedoms, worked on the independence of the judiciary and curbed corruption.
  • President Morsi sought the political and economic independence of Egypt.
  • He also played a strong role in supporting the Arab peoples on the path to democracy and independence.

However, his reign witnessed tension on the part of the leaders of the old state institutions, as they worked against his stability in the government, ignited crises to incite the street against him, and the businessmen of the former regime and their media cooperated with them, and some Arab and Gulf countries supported the rebellion against the elected president, and financed the planned protests against him, for fear of the transfer of change, the Arab Spring and democracy to their countries, as they admitted in statements after that, and other countries in the world revealed it, and this was published with facts and memos after the military coup on July 3, 2013, led by then Minister of Defense Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, after demonstrations taken by him as pretext for the coup, and he declared himself president, after an alleged transitional period.

After the coup, Egypt witnessed massive demonstrations, after the constitution was suspended, and the army leaders took advantage of the chaos to pass massacres against the people and those who rejected the military coup, They hid President Mohamed Morsi, who in his last speech called for adhering to democracy, avoiding chaos and bloodshed, and respecting the will of the people and their constitutional legitimacy.

On August 20

  • Martyr President Mohamed Mohamed Morsi Issa al-Ayat was born in the village of Al-Adwa, which is affiliated to the Hehya town in the Sharkia Governorate, northeast of Cairo.
  • Muhammad Morsi, the eldest son, grew up in the village of Al-Adwa to a father who worked in agriculture and a mother who undertook his education, with five of his brothers.
  • He began memorizing the Holy Quran in his village.
  • Mohamed Morsi joined primary education late, yet he quickly advanced to the ranks to be among the best.

In 1965

  • He obtained his preparatory certificate from Hehya Preparatory School in Hehya town, Sharkia Governorate.

In 1969

  • He obtained his secondary certificate from Ahmed Orabi Secondary School in Zagazig, Sharkia Governorate.
  • Mohamed Morsi was one of the first at the level of the Republic and his marks allowed him to enter top colleges without exception.
  • His father wanted him to enter the Military Technical College to be an officer in the armed forces
  • He applied and was accepted into the Military Technical College and continued as a student for several months, but his desire to be a scientist in the field of engineering made him ask his father to transfer his papers to the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University.

In 1975

  • He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering from Cairo University with a grade of distinction with honors, and he was ranked first in his class, which qualified him to work as a teaching assistant, then an assistant lecturer. (Photo)

In 1976

  • Mohamed Morsi served in the armed forces as a conscript with chemical warfare department in the 2nd Infantry Division.

In 1978

  • He obtained a master's degree in metallurgy from Cairo University.
  • He proposed to Mrs. Naglaa Ali Mahmoud Mashal and also received a scholarship from Professor Krueger from the University of Southern California for scientific excellence in his field.

In 1978

  • He traveled to the United States of America after obtaining a doctorate scholarship and established his family life with his wife, his sons Ahmed and Shaimaa.

In 1979

  • While he was on his doctorate in the United States, he became acquainted with the Muslim Brotherhood.
  • Mohamed Morsi officially became a member of the Muslim Brotherhood two and a half years later.

In 1982

  • He received his PhD in Engineering from the University of Southern California, USA.

In 1983

  • He taught engineering at the University of Southern California and North Ridge University in the USA.

In 1985

  • He received an offer to stay in America, and he met it with an apology, and returned to Egypt to work as a teacher and professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Zagazig University, and rose to positions there until he held the position of Head of the Materials Engineering Department.
  • In the same year, he had his third son, Osama.

In 1989

  • He traveled to work in Libya as a university professor in the capital, Tripoli.
  • He had his fourth son, Omar, there.

In 1992

  • He joined the political department of the Muslim Brotherhood.

In 1994

  • He also had Abdullah in late 1994 in Egypt.

In 1995

  • He was nominated for the People's Assembly elections for the Hehya district in Sharkia governorate, representing the Muslim Brotherhood, and the elections in the district were rigged.

In 2000

  • He was elected as a member of the People's Assembly for the first district of the city of Zagazig, Sharkia Governorate.

In 2001

  • He served as the head of the Muslim Brotherhood's parliamentary bloc and its official spokesman. Chosen as the best parliamentarian in the world for the 2000 and 2005 sessions.

In 2003

  • Elected a member of the Muslim Brotherhood's Guidance Bureau after being promoted to administrative positions in the group.
  • He co-founded the National Front for Change in partnership with Dr. Aziz Sedky and others, with the aim of achieving political and constitutional change in Egypt and establishing true democracy.

In 2005

  • He ran for the People's Assembly elections for the first constituency in Zagazig, Sharkia Governorate, and got the highest number of votes by a large margin over his closest competitor, but the elections were rigged.

In 2006

  • He was arrested in central Cairo while participating in popular demonstrations in defense of the independence of the judiciary and denouncing the transfer of two judges to the Judiciary Committee because of their stance on rigging the 2005 People's Assembly elections

In 2007

  • He supervised the launch of the initial reading of the party program adopted by the group, and developed the system of political action and communication with professional, political and union forces.

In 2010

  • He co-founded the Egyptian Association for Change, in partnership with Dr. Mohamed El-Baradei and others, to demand a system based on true democracy and social justice.

In 2011

  • He was arrested on January 28 in the events of the Friday of Rage in the January revolution on charges of calling for the January demonstrations.
  • Represented the Muslim Brotherhood in the consultations of national forces during the revolution.
  • He participated in founding the Democratic Alliance for Egypt, which included 40 political parties and currents, with the aim of supporting national consensus through political and electoral coordination to reach a strong parliament.
  • Elected from the Muslim Brotherhood's General Shura Council to found the Freedom and Justice Party
  • He held the position of party president after obtaining the highest votes from the party's founding body

In 2012

  • He was elected President of the Arab Republic of Egypt after winning the second round of elections over his rival, Lieutenant-General Ahmed Shafiq.
  • In the same year, he dismissed the head of the Military Council, Field Marshal Muhammad Hussein Tantawi, and his deputy, Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Sami Anan.
  • He also dismissed the Public Prosecutor, Abdul Majeed Mahmoud.
  • Received the new Egyptian constitution and launched public freedoms and a pluralistic life.

In 2013

  • This year witnessed a move by the deep state in preparation for a coup against him.
  • On July 3, Defense Minister Abdel Fattah al-Sisi carried out a bloody military coup after he was detained by force and the president refused to acquiesce in the coup and recognize him as an authority.

In 2014

  • A series of farce trials of President Mohamed Morsi began and until his death he was sentenced to death and life imprisonment and other sentences.

In 2019

  • The martyred president died while attending his court session on June 17 after falling into a glass cage isolated from the court without first aiding him.
  • The authorities prevented his funeral and his burial according to his will, but millions around the world performed the funeral prayer for his soul.
  • The United Nations Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial killings condemned his killing and held the military regime responsible for his death.

– كما كان رئيساً للكتلة البرلمانية للإخوان المسلمين في مجلس الشعب (البرلمان)، في عهد الرئيس السابق حسني مبارك، ومؤسّس ورئيس حزب الحرّية والعدالة، بعد ثورة يناير، وهو الحزب الذي حصد المركز الأوّل في الانتخابات التشريعية. (صورة)

– انتُخب رئيساً في أول انتخابات تعدّدية سياسية حرّة وديمقراطية في تاريخ مصر، ونُصّب رئيساً للبلاد في 30 يونيو 2012.  (صورة)

– شهد عام حكمه إصلاحات دستورية وقانونية، حيث أخرجت مصر أوّل دستور  يضعه الشعب ويُستفتى عليه، بنسبة موافقة بلغت 64%.(صورة)

– كما أطلق الحرّيات، وعمل على استقلال القضاء ومحاصرة الفساد.

– سعى الرئيس مرسي لاستقلال مصر سياسياً واقتصادياً. (صورة)

– كما أدّى دوراً قوياً في مناصرة الشعوب العربية، في طريق الديمقراطية والاستقلال.

     ومع ذلك، فقد شهد عهده توتراً من جانب قيادات مؤسّسات الدولة القديمة، حيث عملت ضد استقراره في الحكم، وأشعلت الأزمات لتحريض الشارع ضدّه، وتعاون معها رجال أعمال النظام السابق ووسائل إعلامهم، كما دعمت بعض الدول العربية والخليجية التمرّد ضد الرئيس المنتخب، وموّلت الاحتجاجات المدبّرة ضدّه، خشية انتقال التغيير والربيع العربي والديمقراطية إلى بلدانهم، كما اعترفوا في تصريحات بعد ذلك، وكشفته دول أخرى في العالم، وهذا ما تم نشره بوقائع ومذكّرات بعد الانقلاب العسكري في 3 يوليو عام 2013، الذي قاده وزير الدفاع آنذاك عبدالفتاح السيسي، بعد مظاهرات اتخذها ذريعة للانقلاب، ونصّب نفسه رئيساً للبلاد، بعد مرحلة انتقالية مزعومة. وقد شهدت مصر عقب الانقلاب تظاهرات عارمة، بعد تعطيل العمل بالدستور، واستغل قادة الجيش الفوضى لتمرير مجازر بحق الشعب ورافضي الانقلاب العسكري، فأخفوا الرئيس محمد مرسي، الذي كان في آخر خطاب له يدعو إلى التمسّك بالديمقراطية وتجنّب الفوضى وإراقة الدماء، واحترام إرادة الشعب وشرعيته الدستورية. (صورة

  • نشأ محمد مرسي الأبن الأكبر في قرية العدوة لأب كان يعمل في زراعة وأم تعهدت برتبيته هو خمسة من إخوته، وبدأ حفظ القرآن الكريم في كتاب قريته.
  • التحق محمد مرسي بالتعليم الإبتدائي متأخراً ومع ذلك سرعان ما تقدم الصفوف ليكون من المتفوقين. في عام 1965 م.
  • حصل على الشهادة الإعدادية من مدرسة ههيا الإعدادية بمركز ههيا بمحافظة الشرقية.
  • في عام 1969 م حصل على الشهادة الثانوية من مدرسة أحمد عرابي الثانوية بمدينة الزقازيق بمحافظة الشرقية، كان محمد مرسي من الأوائل على مستوي الجمهورية وإتاحت له دراجاته دخول كليات القمة بلا استثناء.

  • رغب والده في دخوله الكلية الفنية العسكرية ليكون ضابطاً في القوات المسلحة،تقدم وتم قبوله في كلية الفنية العسكرية واستمر فيها طالباً لعدة أشهر، إلا أن رغبته في أن يكون عالماً في مجال الهندسة جعله يطالب والده بأن يحول أوراقه إلا كلية الهندسة جامعة القاهرة.
  • في عام 1975 حصل على بكالوريوس الهندسة من جامعة القاهرة بتقدير امتياز مع مرتبة الشرف وكان ترتيبه الأول علي دفعته ما أهله للعمل معيدا بها، ثم مدرس مساعداً.
