Tunisia elections

Tunisia elections

On the day that coincides with the twelfth anniversary of the outbreak of the first spark of the great Tunisian revolution, the first of the Arab Spring revolutions, in which the Tunisian people presented an example of rejecting injustice and aspiring for democracy, freedom and justice. The regime of Qais bin Saeed, who turned against the constitution and the law, held early parliamentary elections, which were universally described as farcical, for All political parties and forces boycott the elections

The attendance rate, according to official reports, was about 8 percent of the voters, which indicates the awareness of the great Tunisian people and their insistence on moving on the path of democracy, for which they made a lot of sacrifices.

The Morsi Foundation for Democracy calls on the free world not to recognize this delegitimized regime and to put pressure on it to force it to hand over power to the people and to return to the democratic path so that the Tunisian people can return to positive participation and choose who represents them without excluding one person from power.

Hence, the Morsi Foundation for Democracy congratulates the Tunisian people on the anniversary of their revolution and the continuation of their struggle against the coup, and declares its solidarity with all segments of the Tunisian people and their political movements at this pivotal stage in the country’s history.
