To the governments, bodies and organizations of the world, observers and conferees at the COP27 International Climate Summit in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
At a time when world leaders meet to discuss an important issue, which is the future of the climate in the world, the peoples of the third world, including the host country (Egypt), are suffering under the weight of grave violations and a different reality that is not experienced by the peoples and governments of countries that care and look at climate change with a present and future view of the fate of this planet.
The peoples – of what you called the “Third World” countries – are not concerned with the future of the climate and its present, though it affects them, they look at different priorities that affect the continuity of their survival as countries where most of the population lives below the poverty line and does not find a daily livelihood. How does he look at climate change when he looks at his “empty plate” even of food crumbs, and how he expresses his opinion on climate change as he watches tens of thousands of people being thrown into prisons for freedom of opinion and expression.
These countries live in the midst of internal conflicts generated by the current authorities, some sectarian and some ethnic, and many of them are unfortunately political amid international silence and impotence, which prompted peoples to ridicule international conferences and global forums that do not express their most basic needs, and the real interest in confronting the military and oppressive rule and fighting tyranny, corruption, murder, injustice and the most basic human rights, along with a reality witnessed by the world, prevents the peaceful transfer of power, which makes these governments present in your conference do not represent him.
We place before the conscience of humanity the hopes of millions of the inhabitants of this forgotten world who aspire to democracy, freedom and human rights… which are the most basic human rights on this planet.
The message of these peoples is to stop supporting tyrants and dictators and do not search for your narrow interests, because the world’s interest is that everyone lives in coexistence and peace, even if this is difficult to achieve.
