The Morsi Foundation for Democracy commends the positions and statements of the former Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki regarding the Tunisian people and democracy, which was one of the gains of the glorious revolution of Tunisia, and the fair president’s statements in which he sublimates over the political dispute with the comrades of the revolution and the struggle in Tunisia to present a model that is the sincerest to his people and to the free. The Foundation under his honorary presidency and his stances towards his brother, the martyr President Mohamed Morsi, may God have mercy on him, and his adherence to his principles and values, which matched in the issues of the Arab and Islamic nation, including the issue of Palestine and the revolution of the Syrian people and his stances in Yemen, Libya and Egypt. These are stances that express the peoples of the region and the nation’s civilization and struggle project away from the projects of colonialism and tyranny in the region, including the projects of normalization and subordination on the one hand, and the project of sectarianism on the other.
The Foundation and the family of the martyred president are telling the free world that they will remain on the covenant of the free people and strugglers in the Arab and Islamic world without compromising the constants or deviating from principles. Renewing confidence in the positions of its honorary president, Dr. Moncef Marzouki and supporting him in his struggle positions, despite the pressures imposed on him to stop repeating the right that expresses free peoples.
May God grant Moncef Marzouki all the best and bless his steps in the path of freedom, democracy and justice for his people and nation.
