In its celebration of the International Day of Peace, the Morsi Foundation for Democracy followed up the exchanged statements by leaders of some countries regarding what is happening in Ukraine and the war that has been going on for months there. Among these statements and measures was what was expressed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which he launched measures that are approaching the world towards the abyss of expanding the war to include other countries with the exacerbation of economic crises while the world is on the verge of a severe winter, in which it seems that Europe will suffer an anticipated energy crisis, which prompted the international warring parties to the exchange of statements and actions that, if they persisted, would threaten the fate of international peace and justice and drag the world towards a World War 3.
The Foundation, based on its political and human rights role, calls on world leaders, especially the major countries, to stop such statements and rely on peace and resolution of disputes through negotiation and dialogue, with an emphasis on just issues, including those of the Arab World, ending the occupation in Palestine as is the occupation in Ukraine, and stopping supporting tyrannical rulers and the dictators in the Arab world and the continuation of their staying in their positions that they seized with coups, coercion and force, and the Western and major regimes kept silent for their interests with them. Hence, there is no peace with double standards, no peace with tyranny and injustice, and no peace with occupation and corruption and everyone should know that if the drums of war sound, it will be a catastrophe for everyone in this world that is groaning from injustice.
In this war, which its leaders threaten to use weapons of mass destruction, there will be no victor and defeated, but everyone will lose and humanity will lose.
