“The price of the revolution of January 25 and achieving its goals and preserving it is my life…my own life…Don’t let the revolution be stolen from you… with any pretext… the arguments are many…”
Those were the last words of the martyr President Mohamed Morsi to the great Egyptian people, calling on them to preserve the revolution and its gains and not fall into the trap set for it, which ended with the military coup against the elected president.
And here is the twelfth anniversary of the revolution of the twenty-fifth of January comes, and it is the revolution that wrote to the whole world the highest meanings of freedom, dignity and sacrifice, that revolution whose martyrs watered the squares with their blood in the hope of obtaining freedom, dignity, justice and independence, which they snatched from the tyrant by their peacefulness and struggle, which was the most important of its achievements is the first elected president of the great Egyptian people, the martyr President Mohamed Morsi, may God have mercy on him.
The president who did not betray the principles of that great revolution and did not give up for a single moment its principles, goals and dreams of its youth, and sought to implement its demands for which it did everything it possessed and paid with his life as a price to defend it.
On this great anniversary of the Egyptian revolution, the Morsi Foundation for Democracy, which took the principles of the revolution as a guiding light for it when it was established. It calls on all the great Egyptian people to follow suit and strive to implement the will of President Muhammad Morsi, may God have mercy on him, and to adhere to the goals and demands of the revolution and not stop dreaming of freedom, dignity and social justice even if the scene was full of darkness, for the dawn is inevitably coming. “After hardship, there is ease.”
Hence, the Foundation stresses the need for all regional and international forces to unite to support the great Egyptian people in their attempts to restore their freedom, dignity, and the principles and goals of their great revolution, the January 25 revolution.
On this day, let us not forget to remember the martyrs of the great Egyptian people who sacrificed their lives and died in order for the Egyptian people to obtain their freedom and dignity. We ask God Almighty to have mercy on them and accept them among the martyrs and the righteous.
We hope that the great people of Egypt and all Arab and international peoples will soon enjoy freedom and democracy.
To be our slogan.
“Free revolutionaries, we will continue the journey”
